Clear frameworks for responsible supplements
At Vaud, we believe it's important that you can rely on clear information and responsible products. Therefore, we comply with applicable laws and regulations for nutritional supplements.
Not as a formality, but as a natural part of how we work.
Our supplements are subject to European regulations for food supplements. This legislation sets clear requirements for, among other things, composition, safety, labeling, and communication with consumers.
Within these frameworks, only ingredients permitted for use in food supplements may be used. There are also strict rules governing how products are presented and what information must be included.
By working within these European guidelines, we ensure consistency, transparency and consumer protection.
Strict rules apply to nutritional supplements regarding what may and may not be disclosed. This is laid down in the European Claims Regulation (EC) No. 1924/2006.
This regulation stipulates that only approved nutrition and health claims may be used. Therefore, not every ingredient may be labeled with a specific effect, even if it is the subject of scientific research.
We consciously choose to communicate with restraint and care, so that the information you read remains factual and in line with applicable regulations.
Laws and regulations are intended to protect you as a consumer. We fully endorse this principle.
We understand that legislation surrounding nutritional supplements can be complex. That's why we've chosen to keep this information accessible and clear.
No legalese, but clear explanations of the frameworks within which we operate. This way, you know what to expect without having to wade through extensive regulations.
